San Francisco Market Trend Report – March 2018

New condominium prices along the West Coast metropolitan markets generally continued an upward trend in March. The San Francisco Condominium Pricing Index increased 4.5% to $1,168 in March from the month before, though the index is down about 5% from a year ago, when it last peaked at $1,232 in March 2017. Lower index level from last year reflects changes in the product mix. On the other hand, the average price for resale condominiums sold soared to $1,419,000 in March – the highest recorded in at least five years. The average price per square foot rose to $1,137, 9% above last year’s levels.
