Condo Sales Start at SoMa’s Diminutive New Sapphire Building

The brand new development at SoMa’s 252 Ninth Street only has 15 units, but it has been dubbed with a flashy name—Sapphire—and pricing that sits around the $1,200 per square foot mark. The condos, which just started selling, have big, aluminum bronze casement-style windows, gas stoves, stainless steel appliances, and wide-plank oak floors. There is no parking in the building, but bike parking is available.

The condos at Sapphire are fairly small, with one-bedrooms starting at just 634 square feet and $739,000. Two-bedrooms are as small as 715 square feet and begin as low as $799,000. The largest units in the building are just 875 square feet. Floor plans are, for the most part, pretty standard squares. The building does feature three roof decks with views across the city.
