The Superbowl is coming to SF in less than two weeks! Super Bowl 50 will be held on February 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. The Denver Broncos (14-4) are playing against the Carolina Panthers (17-1). The city is pulling out all the stops to set the stage for a dramatic exchange of adrenaline, tight pants and leather balls.
Here are some fun facts:
- An estimated 1 million people are expected to attend Super Bowl Week festivities.
- 300 food trucks and more than 50 food carts have been licensed by the city of San Francisco.
- The cheapest available ticket for Super Bowl 50 is expected to cost at least $3,500 just to get in the stadium.
- 30 seconds for a CBS ad spot is averaging $5 million.
- Up to 1,200 extra planes are flying around the Bay Area between February 4 and February 10.
