The soon-to-launch condo building at One Mission Bay may be making the most of its flashy name, but it’s the sixteen-story building’s proximity to downtown that could give it an edge. The website for One Mission Bay promises 350 condos right across the channel from AT&T Park and just a stone’s throw away from Caltrain. The address is actually 1000 Channel Street, but One Mission Bay sounds so much fancier.
The condos, which are being built by Strada Investment Group and CIM Group, will be ready to sell next spring. New renderings of the Arquitectonica-designed building show a practically tropical pool, an outdoor fire pit and eating area, and water views in practically every direction. A brand-new luxury Marriott is being built on the other half of the site. If the residents of One Mission Bay ever get sick of their own amenities, they will be able to pop next door to the hotel for a “community living room,” a glass-enclosed bar and cafe on the rooftop, and a restaurant on the ground floor.
